Who we are
TOX & TONIC Medical Aesthetics Inc. ("TOX & TONIC", "we") operates a medical aesthetics clinic in Calgary, Alberta. As a healthcare provider we are subject to Alberta's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA), the federal PIPEDA, and — where health records are concerned — applicable health information legislation. This policy explains what we collect on this website and in clinic, why, and your rights.
What we collect
Website: consultation request details you submit (name, email, phone, area of interest, notes), and — where analytics consent applies — anonymized usage data such as pages visited and device type.
In clinic: medical history, treatment records, clinical photography, and payment records. Clinical records are held to healthcare privacy and retention standards, separate from marketing systems.
What we never do
We never sell personal information. We never publish photography or reviews without explicit written consent. We never use your clinical information for marketing without separate, revocable permission. Being our client is itself confidential.
Cookies & analytics
This site uses privacy-respecting analytics and, where enabled, advertising pixels (Google, Meta) to measure campaigns. These load only per your consent choices where required. You can decline non-essential cookies without affecting your ability to browse or book.
Where your information is processed
Our website is hosted, and consultation requests are delivered, using service providers whose servers are located in the United States. This means the information you submit through the booking form — your name, contact details and the treatment you are enquiring about — is transmitted to and stored on servers outside Canada, and may be accessible to foreign courts or law enforcement under the laws of that country.
We use these providers only to host the site and deliver your enquiry to us. Your clinical records, treatment notes and clinical photography are kept separately in Canada and are never sent to these providers. If you would prefer not to submit personal information through this website, you are welcome to contact us by email or in person instead.
Your rights
You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information (subject to medical record retention laws), and withdraw marketing consent at any time. Write to hellotoxandtonic@gmail.com — privacy requests receive a response within 30 days.
